A Essay About What You See When You Look In the Mirror

What do you see when you look into the mirror? When most people look into the mirror they look right at their physical appearance, but others may see their character and actions. Everybody has a different perspective when they look at themselves in the mirror.

TS- In the book Tale of Two Cities, Lucie, Doctor Manette, and Mr. Lorrey all think different of themselves. SD- When Lucie gazes into a mirror, she sees an attractive young women who is liked by many. CM- Mr. Carton is one of her biggest followers and refers to her as “golden doll”. CM- Also, Miss Pross praises her and talks about how no man is worthy of her but her brother. SD When Doctor Manette observes himself in a mirror, he may see a man that has lost twenty years of his life from being held captive. CM- He feels bad for himself because of all the time he has lost with his family. CM- Doctor Manette was robbed from spending time with his loved ones. SD- Mr. Lorrey may see a man of strict business. CM- He is a man that is always dressed for success, never grey, always telling it how it is with no sugar coating. CM- He states he has no feelings, only caring about his business.CS- You look into the mirror, a quick glance is all it takes, a different perspective every day, some days happy with how you look, other days sad about how you look.

When I look into the mirror I see a lot of things, dozens of thoughts streaming through my mind. SD- At first glance I immediately notice my physical appearance, which is filled with pros and cons.CM- Always staying fixated on my acne for too long; wasting my time on something that isn’t worth the hassle.CM- I then notice the positives things, like my height, which always gives me a boost of self confidence. SD- Moving onto detecting my character traits, I see a boy that is extremely shy, always having trouble to come out from underneath his shell, living in his own world where everything is safe and sheltered, trying hard to pull himself out of his safety zone.(subordinate cumulative sentence) CM- I wish I was not a shy person that stays within his shell.CM- I sometimes feel jealous of people who are not shy and can just be themselves.CM- SD- Being envious of other people is the last thing I see when I look into the mirror. CM-When I look at certain people I tend to admire their possessions.CM- For some reason, I believe having material items will somehow enrich my life with happiness. CS- If I wouldn’t worry so much about how I look, or how fancy my life style is, I could realize happiness comes with the simple things life has to offer.

If you looked into the mirror, would you see a bold or outgoing person? Or perhaps a shy, modest person, that is unhappy with how they look. Everyone has a different outlook of themselves, either negative or positive.

I think this could possibly be my best essay of the year. I really took the time to check it over for mistakes. I am hoping I do not have one grammatical errors. I also tried my best on the special sentences. I feel I have met the requirements for them. Overall I took my time, and carefully thought out each sentences. I think I deserve a B for this essay.
