Mr. Salsich Down the Road:

An Essagraph about a Prophecy

In Charles Dickens novel A Tale of Two Cities, a changed man tells his prophecy about what he hopes to see in the future instead of the violence, pain, and suffering that surrounds him today. In my future I hope to see many things. Down the road I hope to see a confident young adult navigating his way with ease through this big confusing world. Being able to deal with anything that life throws at him because he knows he has been fully prepared by ones who love and care for him. Down the road I want to be someone who makes a difference in this world, not somebody who just sits back. I want to make an impact in someone or something’s life instead of just my own. My hope is that one day I can help take part in restoring balance and sanity to the world oceans. Today I feel that too many people are raiding the oceans resources, taking whatever they want in sickening quantities, slowly suffocating the oceans. I feel too many people just sitting back completely oblivious to what is going on. Down the road I want to be somebody who gets up and fights, not just somebody who sits in the back pretending nothing is happening and everything is going to be ok. I feel this is almost like my calling in life; this is where I want to be. Maybe I’m too young to know what I want to do when I am older, but as of right now, I know I have a strong passion and love for the ocean. When I’m older I want to do something I love, and the ocean is what I love. I can’t wait to see what life’s is going to hold down the road.
